This style of animation originated in Japan where manga, or comic books, are a way of life and one of the most popular forms of entertainment for adult and youth alike. It's no surprise, therefore, that computer animated cartoons saw their primal beginnings in Japan.

Though many would consider Japanese animation to be an art that requires great skill - and it sometimes does - there has blossomed an abundance of low quality knock offs.
