Based on C.S. Lewis' The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, Andrew Adamson has recently taken on the role of director, executive producer, and scriptwriter for his new blockbuster, The Chronicles of Narnia. Find out how you can become a blockbuster animation director too.

New Zealand born, Adamson directed and filmed Narnia primarily in Auckland, but also shot scenes in South Island, where much of Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings Trilogy was filmed. And with other blockbuster credits like Shrek and Shrek 2 to his name, he's certainly no amateur when it comes to being a magnificent animation director.

In The Chronicles of Narnia, Adamson directs four young Pevensie children who discover the magical land of Narnia one day while playing a game of "hide-and-seek.” Once there, they find a land that has been cursed to eternal winter by the evil white witch, Jadis. As director, Adamson does an excellent job portraying his animation style through battles that involve animals, mythical creatures, and kids wielding bows and arrows, swords, and spears. And not only is Narnia entertaining, but it utilizes good vs. evil overtones that children and adults of all ages can relate to.
