The Polar Express is one of those animated computer motion pictures that brings the special magic of Christmas right into your home. With sincere facial expressions, attention to detail, and an incredible storyline, the movie is truly a computer animated masterpiece. If you enjoy animation and have a knack for computers, a career in computer animation might be perfect for you.

The Polar Express is a classic story of a skeptical boy who tries to determine if Santa Claus really exists. While in bed on Christmas Eve, he hopes to hear the sound of reindeer bells from Santa's sleigh. However, to his surprise, he hears a steam engine's roar and whistle instead. Tom Hanks, who plays the skeptical boy, father, conductor, hobo, scrooge, and Santa Claus, does a wonderful job portraying all these characters, making them believable. And it is computer animation that actually makes this possible. The movie's characters seem life-like, but at the same time retain that fantastic aura of the animated cartoon character. So children and adults alike can relate to the characters, but they can also indulge their imaginations and have fun.

Career in Computer Animation

Do you ever ask yourself how you can combine your love of computers with your creative, artistic side? If so, a career in animation, specifically computer animation, could be ideal for you. Today, many movies and television shows utilize computer animation professionals to blend fantasy and reality. It is a great way to accommodate a large viewing audience and still maintain all the fun and laughter associated with a simple cartoon. With so many animation career choices available, it is certainly a career path worth investigating.

There are many qualified colleges, universities, and technical schools that offer degrees in computer animation. Not only will you obtain your degree, but you'll also receive training on specific computer animation programs and develop a style all your own. With a strong educational background and natural creative talent, you might just be part of the next Polar Express.
